Before we can understand what God does, we must first understand who God is. The Bible reveals a God who is completely unlike anything in creation—self-existent, needing nothing, yet sustaining everything. He is unchanging in His nature, the same yesterday, today, and forever. He stands outside of time, eternal in His being, yet present and active in every moment of our lives.
