The Battle of the Ages

The Battle of the Ages began in the Garden, when the enemy of the Creator offered Creation an alternative to God, setting in motion a conflict that spans all of history. Into this conflict, the Son of God entered as part of Creation itself. He confronted the enemy directly in the wilderness, resisting deception and remaining faithful where humanity had fallen. Through His ministry, He bound the strong man, breaking the enemy’s claim of authority and exposing the limits of his power. Ultimately, the Son became the sacrifice for Creation’s sin, securing victory through His death and resurrection. Having defeated the enemy, He then empowered the Church as His Body, commissioning it to live in and enforce that victory by His Spirit, until the final restoration of all things.
